Pragati Maidan hosts some of India's biggest trade fairs, and its build-up windows are strict: you typically get one to three days to turn an empty floor plot into a finished stall. The exhibitors who look calm on day one all did the same thing — they worked backwards from the show date. Here is that timeline.
4–6 weeks before: lock the big decisions
- Confirm your stall size, hall and whether you have a shell scheme (octonorm) or raw space.

- For custom stalls: brief your fabricator now. Good build slots fill up before big shows, and design iterations take longer than you think.
- Declare your power load to the organiser if you plan backlit elements.
2–3 weeks before: design freeze
- Approve the stall design and 3D render. Every change after this point costs time you do not have.
- Hand over final artwork files — 300 DPI, CMYK, with bleed. Half of all build-up delays we see trace back to low-resolution logo files.
- Order your collateral (brochures, visiting cards, standees) in the same batch to save on delivery runs.
1 week before: production week
- Custom structures are fabricated and pre-assembled at the workshop for a trial fit.
- Panels, fascia and signage are printed and quality-checked against your brand colours.
- Walk through the checklist with your fabricator: flooring, lighting count, storage room lock, furniture list.
Build-up days: installation
At Pragati Maidan, material movement, gate passes and hall access follow ITPO rules — an experienced local crew handles this routinely. Octonorm branding installs in a few hours; custom stalls need the full window. This is where being local matters most: our unit in Darya Ganj is about 5 km from the venue, so if a panel gets scratched during install or a size was measured wrong, we reprint and replace the same day — no couriers, no waiting.
