Yashobhoomi (IICC Dwarka) Exhibitor Checklist: Logistics, Timing & Stall Tips

Home / Blog / Yashobhoomi (IICC Dwarka) Exhibitor Che…

Yashobhoomi — the India International Convention & Expo Centre in Dwarka Sector 25 — is one of the world's largest convention centres, and it is pulling bigger international expos to Delhi every season. It is a superb venue for exhibitors, with one catch: it sits on the far side of the city, and that distance quietly changes your planning math. Here is a practical checklist.

Before you book vendors

  • Check where your fabricator is based. Yashobhoomi is roughly 30 km from central Delhi — about 45 minutes by road. That is fine for a Delhi vendor doing a support run, but brutal for an out-of-state vendor whose nearest reprint option is a courier away.
  • Ask specifically about on-site support during show days. At a venue this size, "we'll send someone" can mean hours. Get a commitment.
  • Confirm what the shell scheme includes. Newer venues often have better base shells — you may need fewer add-ons than you think.

Scale your stall to the venue

Yashobhoomi's halls are vast and ceilings are high. Two practical consequences:

  • Go taller if rules allow. A standard 2.4 m octonorm back wall can feel small; a raised fascia, tower element or hanging sign restores presence.
  • Bigger type, bolder graphics. Aisles are wide — your stall is read from further away than at older venues. Design your main panel to communicate in three seconds from 10 metres.

Timing checklist

  • 2–4 weeks out: finalise design and fabrication booking (custom builds especially).
  • 1 week out: everything printed and quality-checked. Do not plan to "fix it at the venue" — the venue is 45 minutes from everywhere.
  • Build-up day: reach early; a complex this size takes time to navigate with material. Factor gate-to-hall time into your schedule.
  • Show days: keep your fabricator's number handy. Our crew reaches Yashobhoomi in about 45 minutes from Darya Ganj for emergency fixes and reprints — same day, not next day.

Common mistakes we see at IICC

  1. Under-sized branding that looked fine on paper but disappears in the big hall.
  2. No declared power load for backlit elements, discovered on build-up day.
  3. Collateral shipped with the stall — then stuck in material-entry queues. Carry brochures separately.
